Photo Essay

I decided my theme for my video essay to be moments of boys' lives in the city. I Used photos from this summer and photos that I have taken ever since I moved to university. These photos were taken in Tokyo and London at random moments. I used photoshop to edit it to give the photos more colour and more character to them to bring out certain emotions. The overall process was very enjoyable as it brought back memories over the last 4 months. Since I had absolute creative freedom it was fun to go at it with a very flexible plan as I could make the photos look and feel however I wanted, allowing me to keep the essence of the moment in time that was captured. The only major obstacle that I faced was that some of the photo's quality was not as good as other making it difficult to edit as the overall picture was ruined due to the low quality. This could've been solved if I shared the images in a way that could keep the original photo quality without compressing it. This showed me the value of photo quality as this situation directly impacted how much editing I could do on the photo. To prevent this situation from happening again I decided to create a google docs account so file sharing of files will be easier for me. So for my next project ill just create a file on my google docs.
